Lets put a little "bite" in to the law!
Senator Vi Simpson of Bloomington, In. has introduced
BILL No. 190. This bill "specifies that a dog owner may be held civilly liable if the owner's dog attacks someone, even if
the attack occurs on the owner's property. Provides that a dog owner may be criminally liable for unreasonably failing to
restrain the dog,even if the dog attack occurs on the owner's property." *Taken from the digest of introduced bill.
We need to write,call and E-Mail our state Senators, and House members to add this new
provision to the Indiana Code.
We will try again
next year.
To see House Bill 1882 go to;
